New Era, New Energy: Coach Joshua Fusco Takes the Helm of the Brooklyn Aviators

A bold new chapter begins for the Brooklyn Aviators as we officially welcome Coach Josh Fusco as Head Coach for the 2025–2026 season.

Bringing over a decade of experience, a relentless work ethic, and a proven track record of postseason success, Coach Fusco is more than just a new face behind the bench — he’s the spark of a new era for Aviators hockey.

A Resume Built for Results

Coach Fusco’s coaching journey is defined by transformation and results. Over the last six seasons, he led Team Maryland in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) to consistent postseason appearances and helped mold one of the most competitive programs in the league. Prior to that, his time with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights laid the foundation for his reputation as a coach who builds not just teams — but entire programs.

From the NA3AHL Finals to an NAHL East Division Championship and an EHL Frozen Finals appearance, his leadership has turned potential into performance — year after year.

Behind the Bench and Beyond

What sets Fusco apart is his all-in approach. As a former Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, a leader in player development, and an NAHL & EHL All-Star Coach, he understands what it takes to push athletes beyond limits — physically and mentally.

He’s not just coaching hockey. He’s building culture.

💥 A Vision for the Aviators

As he joins the Aviators, Coach Fusco brings with him the drive to create a team identity rooted in discipline, speed, and intensity. His goal? Not just to make the playoffs — but to set a standard.

“Brooklyn has everything you need to be a powerhouse,” says Fusco. “We’re building something that lasts. The fans, the city, the talent — we’re going to make it all count.”

The Foundations of a Leader

A graduate of Finlandia University, where he played his collegiate career, Fusco later earned certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds a Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification — a testament to his commitment to continuous learning and player safety.

Get Ready for 2025–2026

As the puck drops on a new season, expect a team that plays with heart, fights for every inch, and represents Brooklyn with pride.

This isn’t just a coaching hire. It’s a movement.

Welcome to Brooklyn, Coach Fusco. Let’s fly.
